Hard [Work] Ware (2023) Master’s Degree Collection

The Master Thesis project investigates how metal hardware can be used to construct clothing; stitch-free, with the use of zero-waste pattern cutting and upcycling textiles as well as metal materials (from second-hand sources) this project presents a collection of 5 looks that have taken inspiration from womenswear old-school corporate wardrobe.

In Disguise (2024)

The most recent project, where the theme of Bond Girls served as an inspiration for silhouettes and choice of material types. Then the artwork of the Czechoslovak artist Toyen inspired the embellishment on garments in the form of beading and embroidery, as well as the colour palette of the three final looks.

Meet Me At The Soviet Gala Collection (2021)

A childhood memory of living in brutalist panel houses served as an inspiration for the following project. Grey, ugly housing aesthetics is transferred into designs through custom-made fabrications reminding of brutalist concrete walls.

Eastern Bloc (2020) Bachelor’s Degree Collection

The project came together with the designer deep diving into their personal heritage and how the Czechoslovak society dressed in the late 1970s. With the help of historical fashion magazines and imagery, the resources inspired silhouettes, and especially the focus tailoring, craftsmanship and on details - such as functional elements (incl. buttons, pockets, modular garments) that served no function on the garments back then. The designer also uses materials from closed-down Czechoslovak textile factories (hence as deadstock or second-hand).
